On April 10, 2024, the US EPA announced national regulations limiting the amount of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also referred to as “Forever Chemicals”, in drinking water. The new regulations will set a maximum contaminant level (MCL) for six of the widely known PFAS chemicals; PFOA, PFOS, PFHxS, PFNA, PFBS, and HFPO-DA (GenX).

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — The Jefferson Water & Sewer District is one of 90 projects receiving state grants to address critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Ohio communities. In total, 64 counties will receive $135 million.
The District is required to update all backflow prevention and cross connection surveys every five (5) years. Complete the survey and help the District track backflow prevention devices to comply with Ohio EPA regulations.
