District Projects

Jefferson Water and Sewer District is always thinking of the future and how to better serve its customers. 

Below is a listing of JWSD projects and their current status.

Gravity Sewer Line Waggoner Rd./Havens Rd. 90% Complete This project will consist of installing a 18" gravity sewer line on Waggoner Rd. from McOwen Rd. to Havens Rd. This will serve current and future developments in the Northeast quadrant of the Township.
Smart Meters Entire District 80% Complete The project consists of installing new meter reading devices in every home (in excess of 4600 meters). The new reading system will transmit the readings through collectors to a cloud based system. This allows real time readings, which will help with the efficiency of the billing system. Additionally, it will give the District the ability to track irregular usage and notify our residents.
Reynoldsburg-New Albany South Waterline Loop Reynoldsburg-New Albany Rd. Bidding Stage The proposed project will consist of installing approximately 300 linear feet of 8" waterline and appurtenances. To provide an additional waterline under the railroad track to insure water to users on the southside of the railroad. It will also connect two "dead-end" waterlines (creating a loop) to keep water moving and help with water quality.
SCADA System Upgrades Taylor Rd. Water Plant and Multiple Sites Around the District 75% Complete Upgrades to the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system that controls the plant and field equipment, such as lift stations, booster stations, wells, and water towers. This system will provide better communication and monitoring of the District's assets at the plant and in the field. Giving the benefit of quicker response times to avoid incidents and provide better overall service to the residents.
Reynoldsburg-New Albany Waterline Extension Reynoldsburg-New Albany North of Kitzmiller Rd. to Morse Rd. Planning Project expected to begin summer 2020, extending to serve new development at the corner of Morse Rd. and Reynoldsburg-New Albany Rd. Ability to serve residents along Reynoldsburg-New Albany Rd. and the new development at the corner of Morse.
Waterplant Rehabilitation Taylor Rd. Waterplant 40% Complete Installation of new resin in the water softeners and media in the iron filters. The installation of new resin in the District's softeners will help lower and regulate the hardness of the finished water sent to customers. Additionally, the installation of new media in the iron filters will help reduce and stabilize the iron levels in the finished water.
