Seasonal Inspector (Hourly $20.16 - $29.07)

Jefferson Water and Sewer District (JWSD) is seeking a Seasonal Inspector to complement our Operations Department and expand inspection services during the high-demand construction season. JWSD provides water and sanitary sewer services to more than 4,000 customers located within Jefferson Township, Ohio and performs water and sanitary sewer utility inspection services for new developments, system improvements, and utility extensions within the district service area.

The Seasonal Inspector is responsible for overseeing the construction of water and sewer lines in the District and performs other related duties as required. This position is seasonal, and employment occurs between May and October. Work hours will generally occur between 7:30am-4:00pm but may vary based on construction activities and the amount of construction occurring on specific projects. Work will only be performed when contractors are working, and inspection services are necessary. Days where no construction occurs (rain days, etc) will not require this employee to work.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in the construction, inspection, or field testing of materials in the construction or repair of hard infrastructure (e.g., manholes or anything related to sewer or water installation).
