Water Plant Operator II (Hourly $31.26 - $45.95) DOQ

Jefferson Water and Sewer District (JWSD) is seeking a Water Plant Operator II to join our Operations Department and become a member of an exciting and dynamic organization. JWSD provides water and sanitary sewer services to more than 4,000 customers located within

Jefferson Township, Ohio. JWSD was created in 1987 to provide and control centralized water and sewer services to the Township, thus allowing Jefferson Township to remain a local government where residents that actively participate can make a difference.

The Water Plant Operator II is responsible for proper operation and maintenance of the water treatment plant, water quality testing laboratory, and water distribution system, including booster stations, pumps, water towers, and associated SCADA systems. The Operator II will also collect and analyze water samples, conduct and evaluate lab analytical results and adjust water plant chemical dosages as necessary.

The Water Plant Operator II reports to the Operations Manager. General working hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime. This position participates in an on-call rotation that also includes some weekends.
