The Jefferson Water & Sewer District Board of Trustees voted unanimously yesterday to rescind all watering restrictions. Beginning October 2, 2020, customers may use outside water without restriction. Although customers may resume normal water usage, the District encourages customers to practice water conservation efforts both inside and outside their homes. Although the water treatment plant upgrades are nearly complete and outside water use restrictions have been lifted, the Board and staff’s commitment to its customers continues. The plant capacity study and potential expansion projects to adequately meet the demands of current and future developments is ongoing.
